This is just one of the lessons I have learned in life.
People are selfish, it is in our nature to be, that is why charity is such an important part of
progression. Think about it, in most charitable acts there is a bit of
self gratification. You didn't turn the radio on to your friends
favorite channel because your selfless, you did it because it makes YOU
feel good to see the other happy. While this act is very nice, it is
essentially about making yourself feel happy. What people will one day
realize is... charity which is truly charity, will be done without a
drop of regard for self. Those who do practice this form of charity are
very evolved and I would one day like to be like them.
